Deadlines and Updates
Each season in Matchday consists of 42 rounds. For each round, there is a deadline to submit team selections and player instructions. It is important to submit your team selections before the announced deadline. Failure to do so will result in default team selections and tactics being applied to your team.
To submit all your manager instructions(team selections, tactics and player actions) click on the submit symbol at the top of the main menu.
Then click on the submit button.
Once you have submitted your actions you will notice that the submit symbol is grayed out. This means that all registered actions are submitted. The submit symbol can be in one of the following statuses:
You have unsubmitted actions
All registered team selections, tactics and player actions have been submitted
It is important to notice that none of the instructions you have made will be registered in Matchday unless you have submitted them.
The next deadline is always shown at the bottom of the main menu, and at the overview page. The overview page also shows a countdown to the next deadline.
Managers who are inactive in Matchday over a long period of time (typically five weeks) will lose their team (by inactive we mean users that don’t submit any team selections or player instructions).
Once the deadline has passed, the Matchday server will start to play all matches scheduled for this week and process all submitted player actions. As soon as the server is finished, updated data will be available for download. Normally new updates are available within one hour after the deadline.
The next time you login to your Matchday account you will be asked if you want to update your data. You can also force an update by selecting UPDATE from the main menu. By updating you will be able to see the results of the matches, the latest transfer’s, training results etc.
IMPORTANT: There is no point in updating your data before the deadline has passed as no new data will be available.
